On July 6, 2016, Imam Zaid Shakir led thousands of people in prayer at the Navy Pier in Chicago. He discussed what it means to be a Muslim, and like Muhammad Ali are who people should think of instead of terrorism and violence. He calls for peace, mercy, sharing, charity, and emphasizes wholesome family values. Muslims should join other people who are working for, brotherhood and sisterhood in this world, and who are trying to build bridges of understanding.
