Dry Your Eyes My Sister…

Dry Your Eyes My Sister…

Do not be torn asunder by the gazes
From eyes of hatred oh so venomous;
The prejudicial words befitting racists,
“Your people, your religion, we can’t trust.”

The words like acid rain fall from the sky,
“Go back from whence you came leave us alone!”
Tearful, but undaunted comes her reply,
“How can I leave the only home I’ve known?”

So dry your eyes my sister and move on…
Enjoy all of the trappings of your home.
Yes, dry your eyes my sister and move on…
And with your Lord you’ll never walk alone.
